Benefit blushers and bronzers

Benefit blushers and bronzers

I am addicted to the Benefit blushers and bronzers, here are my three favourites – 10, coralista and Dallas.

All of benefits bronzer/blushers are really good quality, you can layer them up to make the colour more intense. They all come with small brushes that are handy and look really cute.

DALLAS: Dallas is a bronzer that gives you a golden glow.

10: I love this it’s a duo, it has a glittery pink and a glittery bronze – the pink really highlights your cheek bones.

CORALISTA: this is a coral blush with a light shimmer.

Lip Gloss

So last week my partner and I went for a night out – Our first one since having our daughter! We were in town getting him something to wear and just as we were about to go home I realised I didn’t get a lip-gloss, we were nowhere near Debenhams so I thought I would run in to Superdrug and see what they had. I saw a Rimmel lip-gloss which was roughly £6.00 which is extremely cheap compared to the YSL/Chanel/Estee Lauder ones, so I bought it. I applied it just as we were leaving our house and didn’t have to re-apply it until about 2 hours later; I was really impressed as when I usually wear lip-gloss I am re-applying nearly every 20 minutes. Now even though on the tube it says that it lasts up to 6 hours it didn’t last quite that long but it did stay in place for some fair time! It stays glossy it feels lovely and soft on your lips, it’s not sticky and it doesn’t smell like cheap nasty lip-gloss!

So Heres the secret – RIMMEL STAY GLOSSY, I got it in “160 - STAY MY ROSE”

LIPSTICKS

Estēe lauder pure color crystal lipstick

This lipstick is gorgeous, it’s soft and moisturising on the lips as well as being long lasting. I would use this lipstick on a daily basis as it is quite natural looking. I got this when Estēe Lauder were doing their gift at Christmas so ifyou were to buy it, it would be in different packaging. The only downside of this is the price I got mine free, in a gift as I said, I don’t know if I’d buy it on its own it is £19.50, I know the YSL lipsticks are more than this but they are of better quality for example this one has that nasty lipstick smell to it and you have to re-apply constantly, If it was in a gift again I would definitely contemplate getting it again.

311 crystal coral - £19.50

Yves saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick

Another YSL lipstick that I purchased a couple of weeks ago, when I purchased this it looked a lot lighter on the website and when it arrived I wasn’t sure about it, I thought it might have been to dark against my complexion, but I loved it – I normally wear pink tones so this was quite daring for me it’s more purple but it does have a hint ofpink in it. As with all YSL lipsticks it’s moisturising and shiny.

28 rose bohème – £23.50

One of my favourite colours from the Rouge Pur Couture collection is number 24. I have re-purchased this one twice and I wear this one almost every day it’s a shimmery pink colour and I love it!

24 Blonde Ingenue –£23.50

MACLipstick

I love all MAC lipsticks, I love their cute names and I love ALL of the colours one of my favourites is impassioned this is a bright pink – what I love about thisis you can dab it on and it can be quite light or you can layer it up and it can be really bright, these lipsticks are moisturising and smooth to apply.

Estēe Lauder Pure Colour five Colour eye shadow palette

This is a beautiful eye shadow palette from Estēe lauder – the pictures do not do the colours justice, you can layer these up to make the colour more intense, it comes with a slight turquoise blue, a white, a navy, a silver and a deep blue. They are all shimmery, the white doesn't come out white it just comes out as glitter. This is one of my favourite eye shadow palettes that I have. You can use these to create a day or an evening look. The packaging is also lovely, a gold mirrored lid with the ESTĒE LAUDER logo on the front and a large mirror inside the lid which is an added bonus.

Pure Colour - 01 Blue Dahlia - RRP: £35.00

Yves Saint Laurent

So I was going through my old lipsticks yesterday and found one of my old Yves Saint Laurent Rouge volupte lipsticks, I started using it again and I remembered how much I loved it. It’s not like the other Yves Saint Laurent lipsticks – its shiny almost looks like you have put a gloss over the top, and it’s really moisturising, also it doesn’t have that nasty lipstick smell it smells lovely and slightly fruity. It doesn’t last as long as other Yves Saint Laurent but I’m guessing that due to the glossiness of it. The packaging is so cute, and it has a mirror on the end so you can apply on the go!

Mascara

This is the best mascara I have ever used. It is Lancôme Hypnôse drama, now I’m quite fussy with mascaras as my eyelashes are rubbish so I really need a mascara that lengthens and thickens – without them looking clumpy – this mascara is my favourite so far – but on my bottom lashes I use Benefit BAD gal as the Lancôme is a bit too much for my bottom lashes. Both mascaras are thick brushes I don’t get on with the plastic brushes as I find they don’t give me the length that I want.

Lancôme Hypnôse Drama – 01 BLACK - £21.00
Benefit BAD gal – BLACK -  £16.50

Skin care

Clarins - HydraQuench Cream

I bought some new moisturiser as I have the driest skin ever, and nothing seems to work! When I took it out of the box i loved the packaging but due to the thick glass that the pot is made from it doesn't have as much product in it as i thought. I paid £33.50 for a 50ml pot, which is quite a lot, but i thought if it works its worth it!
I have now been using it day and night for 4 weeks. I love it! It smells nice and you only need the smallest bit and it goes so far, its helped my skin loads i have no dry patches anymore. I have tried so many products aimed at dry skin from E45 cream to Clinique moisture surge and nothing has ever worked this well. If you have dry skin I highly recommend that you visit a Clarins counter and they should be able to give you a small sample.

Estee Lauder Double wear

 review:
I have used this foundation for about three years now. It is Estee Lauder – Double Wear, as I say I have used this for about three years and since then have not been able to find another foundation like it.

I started using the foundation when I used to work in store at Debenhams, everyone seemed to use it at work and my mum and sister also use it so I thought I would try it.

It comes in 25ml pots  they are £26.50, which I think is quite a lot for a foundation but one pot does normally last around 5/6 months for me.

The only down side of this foundation is that as it is so thick it can make skin quite dry, and I already have dry skin so it doesn’t really help in this respect but I just make sure I moisturise a bit extra and it seems to be fine, another downside is that it has some kind of a metal in it which does react with a flash on a camera – which means every time I wear this on a night out in all of the photos I look extremely pale. On the plus side it has a brilliant coverage and lasts all day without fail, it makes your skin look flawless.

In the summer I do try and use the Estee Lauder double wear LIGHT – this also has a brilliant coverage but is not so harsh on your skin and isn’t as thick – so if the double wear sounds too thick for your skin try the LIGHT alternative, also if both of these haven’t got enough coverage for you then Estee lauder also do a Double wear maximum cover!
