Santa Clause is coming to town.......

Hi! I thought I would do a little festive post today and show you a few of my decorations that I have been collecting over the past few weeks.
As this is my first Christmas in my own house I had no decorations at all and I didn't realise how expensive they can be! Before we went out looking for decorations we had to decide on colours, I wanted Nordic/Scandinavian red and white decorations where as my partner wanted the traditional red/white/green decorations. Thankfully I finally got my own way and we settled on my choice!

I am super excited about getting a tree. We are going to go out on my Birthday (2nd December) and get one. I will try and get some pictures whilst we are tree shopping and do a little blog to show you all, we are going to a local tree farm to pick the perfect tree! Here are my decorations so far -

I got some jingle bells from homebase, they had these in all different colours but I got the red/white pack.

Little fabric houses, I don't know what they have to do with Christmas but I thought they were very cute. I got these from my local Homesense.

These candy canes. I don't think I will have these on my tree but maybe along my fireplace - From Homebase.

Fabric hearts - Homesense

Ceramic mittens - I don't know whether I am going to have these on my tree as they are quite heavy I may try though! - Homesense

Little fabric reindeer - I got this from a local shop called Ginger Fig and this item was made by Heaven Sends LTD.

This is also from ginger fig and this one was handmade by the shop owners.

Also from Ginger fig - unknown brand! (Sorry)

I love this heart with the jingle bells I think it is so cute and I found it in a sale basket for 50p! Bargain! - Ginger Fig

Rustic star - Ginger Fig

 Christmas tree lights from Homebase.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I will post a photo once my tree is complete. I am sorry I don't have the prices but I stupidly took off the price tags! Sorry!

Check out the ginger fig website as they have some really cute items www.gingerfig.co.uk

YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation

Hi, Sorry I haven't posted recently but I have been so busy!

For a long time now I have been trying to find something to replace my Estee Lauder double wear foundation (£27.50). I was trying to find something cheaper but with the same coverage. Double wear made my skin very dry so I wanted something that was more hydrating.
Good news is I have found something that is hydrating with good coverage. Bad news is it is more expensive than double wear!
I have wanted to try the Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation (£28.00) ever since it came out. I have previously used Yves Saint Laurent's perfect touch foundation which I Love but it is a bit to expensive at £34.00.

I have now been using Le Teint Touche Éclat for about 2 weeks and I really like it. It has medium/high coverage, its hydrating and easy to apply. I really like the way this gives a natural glow and has a dewy finish. I prefer a dewy finish to a matte finish. The coverage isn't quite as high as double wear but its just right, it looks nice and natural.

A Primark Haul

Today I went to Primark for the first time in ages and I thought I'd share what I bought with you!

I have wanted a new hand-bag for ages! Since being a Mum I have noticed that I take the changing bag with me  everywhere, then when I go out without my daughter I don't have a bag! I saw this and I really liked it its the perfect size and I just think it is really cute! - £8.00

The second thing I saw was this purse. I always use my Paul's boutique purse which is perfect for nights out as it is small but for everyday use I could do with something a little bit larger. I really like this colour and I love the bow on it, it also has loads of space. - £5.00

This ones a bit boring but I picked up some plain long sleeved black tops. I always get these when I go to Primark as they are only £3.50 and they come in every colour possible.

I also got this jumper. Its really light and soft. Just a casual jumper to wear with jeans. I love getting nice comfy knitwear like this in the winter! - £6.00

I keep going into town and forgetting to buy some earrings I have none at the moment I always manage to lose one of them so my jewellery box is full of odd earrings. I bought these you get 9 pairs for £2.00 - Bargain!

Finally I picked up this really cute knitted dress for my daughter. I am loving this knitwear at the moment as it is so cold here in the UK. It looks so cute with a pair of tights!

I am trying to get lots of bits and bobs together for my Christmas giveaway - so watch this space I'm hoping to put it up very soon!

River island by daisymhanson

I was looking on the River Island Website earlier and I couldn't believe how much stuff I loved on there, my local River Island is little and never has many items that I actually like! I had to get a few of the items that i found together and show you!

baby Girl

I also have been looking for some new clothes for my daughter who is constantly growing out of her clothes. The problem is when I go shopping I just want to get her everything as it all looks so cute as it is all so tiny!

All I Want For Christmas Is......

As My Birthday and Christmas are coming up my family keep asking me to make a list of what I'd like!
I couldn't think of anything until I looked online and found loads of things I'd like! I thought I'd show you all a few of the things that I found.

All i want for christmas is....

Oasis jumper sweater / Dorothy Perkins blouse / Genuine leather jacket / Low rise skinny jeans / SCARLETT hi top sneaker, £38 / Oasis metallic handbag / J by Jasper Conran bronze watch / Beanie hat, £18 / Basic Grey 12X12

1 - beanie hat now that its starting to get cold this is a must have!
2 - New look leather jacket - I have been looking for a leather jacket that I like for ages! My friend recently came down and she was wearing this I couldn't believe it was from new look!
3 - I really want some darker shades of lipsticks - Love this MAC one!
4- I'd like some more slouchy comfortable jumpers and I like the ones like this with the studs/glitter/sequins added to the shoulders, they make the jumpers look less boring!
5- Wedge High tops - I love the idea of these, I like high tops but they don't flatter my legs at all - they make me look even shorter and wider, so I love these wedged high tops!
6- Since having my daughter I have been using a changing bag and have realised that I don't actually have a handbag that I like anymore! I love this oasis bag.
7- I live in skinny jeans and would like to get some in a maroon colour.
8 - A new watch! I really like this bronze-y colour
9- I want some collared blouses, this one is from the new Kardashian's range in Dorothy Perkins.

Me Me Me Nail care gift set

I recently won a MeMeMe facebook giveaway- if you haven't already then go and like the MeMeMe Cosmetics Facebook page as they are always running giveaways!

So anyway my prize was a MeMeMe nail care gift set  I was really excited when I won this as I have tried a few of MeMeMe's polishes and they are really good quality.
The gift set came with a Nail Buffer, a Nail File, ‘Softly Softly’ Hand & Nail Cream,  ‘Innocent’ and ‘Graceful’ Nail Glosses and ‘Prime & Protect’ base & finishing gloss.
After using these polishes I have to say they are pretty colours, amazing quality and very long lasting. As I have said in previous post's all of the MeMeMe polishes come with "Maxi-brush technology" I really like this as I find them easier to apply than with usual polish brushes.
Overall I think this gift set is lovely and if you haven't already its well worth checking out the website as they have lots of really cute gift sets which are ideal for Christmas/Birthday presents!

Glamour Magazine December 2012

Glamour magazine's December issue have nails inc freebies! I was so excited when I noticed this in the shop a few days ago but the only nails inc they had were the pale pink one (Elizabeth Street).

I went to the shop today and they had the gold glitter one (Glamour Glitter) so I picked it up! I am hoping to get the red (St James) and the blue (Motcomb Street) as soon as I find them!
I was so happy when I managed to get the gold glitter and to top it off when I opened the magazine there were also samples of Rimmel's BB cream, Maxfactor's face finity foundation, NIVEA's express hydration primer, Angel perfume and Elie saab perfume. The magazine is only £2.00 so for a magazine, a nails inc polish and 5 samples i don't think that's bad at all!

When I first used the Glamour Glitter I have to admit I was a little bit disappointed as it is a sparse glitter I was hoping for a really glittery polish that you could just use on its own but if you do want a little bit of glitter you can just put this on top of another colour and it looks quite pretty and Christmas-y.

This is a picture of the Glamour Glitter over my ESSIE (Russian Roulette).

Have you picked up the Glamour Magazine? - If you havent, then go and get it, these polishes retail at £11.00 each so it truly is a bargain!
what colour/colours did you or will you get?

MAXFACTOR Colour adapt foundation review

So I purchased this quite a while ago now and I thought I should finally do a review on it.

The reason I bought this was because I was hoping that I would save money as it's a lot cheaper than my usual foundation. I have also read lots of really good reviews on this.

I have only used this twice because I really don't like it. The foundation has no coverage, its a horrible powdery texture and it wore off very quickly.
It is a really light foundation but it seemed to cling to my dry skin - I have had this problem with most of the Maxfactor foundations that I have tried.
So overall I won't be saving money with this foundation and have had to go out and buy a different one!

Has anyone else tried this foundation? What did you think about it?

So I finally have my Internet back *YAY* and I know its a bit late and you have probably read all about it but I am going to do a short post on my October Jolie Box!

I don't think this is a brilliant box it is pretty much all skin care, I'd prefer a few beauty products - but here it is anyway.

1 - Balance Me Face Moisturiser
This Luxurious natural moisturiser is perfect to protect your skin against harsh environmental factors

2 - LOV ORGANIC
An organic herbal blend of white and green tea that's packed with antioxidants and zinc that have proven skincare benefits.

3 - JĀSONS Bee Healthier Lip Balm Stick
A naturally nourishing hand-bag ready lip balm to help maintain a plump and perfect pout.

4 -MÓA The Green Balm
An intense, multi-purpose balm that gives moisture to chapped, dehydrated skin - suitable for sensitive skin.

5- RITESSENS cleanser OR exfoliant
Ritessens uses a powerful blend of natural plant extracts and moroccan argan oil. Their products work wonders!

So these are the products I received I will let you know what I think of the products once I have tried them!

Did any of you get the October Joliebox? What did you think of it?
